Local Rules

Furnas Golf Course

The following Local Rules shall apply during the game on Furnas Golf Course

OUT OF BOUNDS - (Def) Rule 27:
Defined by white stakes and/or the internal edge of boundary walls.

WATER HAZARDS - Rule 26:
As defined by yellow stakes, proceed under Rule 26-1.

MOVEABLE OBSTRUTIONS - Rule 24-1:
Stones in bunkers: Stones by definition are "loose impediments"

OBSTRUCTIONS INCLUDE - Rule 24-2:
Includes all cart paths, wooden rest shelters, french drains. Bridges on holes 9 and 10.

GROUND UNDER REPAIR - Rule 25:
If a staked tree or shub interferes with a player's stance or area of intended swing, the ball must be lifted without penalty and dropped in accordance with the procedue prescribed in Rule 24-2b. The ball may be cleaned when lifted, without penalty.

Non-metal spikes must be worn.

Golfers who stop after nine holes may loose their position on the golf course.
